Custom ecommerce systems

The systems around Shopify, built to fit the operation.

We build the automations, integrations, dashboards, and internal tools growing ecommerce brands need—without making them hire an engineering team.

What we build
  • Order and fulfillment workflows
  • Inventory operations
  • Support triage with human review
  • Profitability and KPI dashboards
  • Shopify integrations
  • Custom internal applications
Your data. Your custom implementation. No lock-in.
The right category

Not generic AI consulting

Most growing ecommerce brands do not need a full engineering department. They need senior technical ownership across Shopify and the rest of the stack, with a clear result, fixed project scope, direct delivery, and a team that remains in control after launch.

Capabilities

Three kinds of systems work

We focus on operational systems around ecommerce. We are not a media-buying, lifecycle, branding, or general creative agency.

Operations automation

Order and fulfillment workflows, inventory operations, support triage with human review, team scorecards, payout workflows, and repetitive internal processes.

Data and decision systems

Profitability and KPI reporting, cross-platform dashboards, executive reporting, forecasting, operational visibility, and replacements for manual spreadsheet reporting.

Custom commerce engineering

Shopify integrations, customer-facing operational tools, internal applications, custom data pipelines, and AI-assisted workflows with appropriate human approval.

How the engagement works

From operation to handoff

The Kickstart is completed in 10 business days after kickoff and required access. Custom implementation timelines follow the separately approved scope.

01

Understand the operation

Talk with the people who run the workflow and identify where time, money, or reliability is being lost.

02

Prioritize the opportunities

Rank potential work by expected impact, confidence, effort, dependencies, and operational risk.

03

Agree on the result

Define the scope, fixed price, and written acceptance criteria before implementation begins.

04

Build and launch

Implement, test, document, train the team, and put the system into production.

05

Hand over control

Your team can operate the system without an ongoing Miller & Miller contract. Another project and Care remain optional.

Pricing and engagement model

A clear starting point. A fixed price before we build.

Start with the $2,500 Kickstart or approve a case-by-case custom build from $7,500. Optional Care starts at $400 per month for one defined production system.

Scope, delivery, and ownership

What is the Kickstart?

The Kickstart is a $2,500 fixed engagement completed in 10 business days after kickoff and receipt of all required access. We interview the people who operate the workflow, rank the top five opportunities by impact, confidence, effort, and operational risk, deliver plain-English findings and an implementation order, build one tightly scoped proof using systems and access already available to your team, and provide training and handoff. The starting proof scope involves no more than two existing systems and excludes major data cleanup, broad migrations, storefront redesigns, complex authentication, and multi-workflow internal platforms. We select and agree on it during kickoff.

How much does a custom build cost?

Focused custom implementations start at $7,500. The exact price depends on the workflow, systems, data, risk, and acceptance criteria. You approve one fixed price before implementation begins. Larger systems work is divided into separately approved phases.

Why don’t you publish a full project rate card?

A dashboard with clean data and a multi-system operational platform are not the same project. Publishing one broad range would either mislead smaller clients or anchor larger work artificially low. We publish the starting point, then price the actual scope.

What if the build does not meet the agreed scope?

Before implementation begins, we agree on written acceptance criteria in plain English. During the acceptance period, anything that misses those criteria is corrected at our expense. If we cannot meet the agreed criteria, the final project payment is not due. After acceptance, a 30-day defect-remediation period covers defects in the accepted scope. New requirements, client-data issues, and third-party platform changes are handled separately.

Do you only work with Shopify?

We specialize in growing ecommerce brands and work deeply with Shopify, but the systems around a Shopify store often include email, support, inventory, fulfillment, analytics, advertising, and internal databases. We scope the complete operational workflow, not just the storefront.

Do you use client data to train AI models?

No. Your store and customer data are used only to build and run the systems you approve. They are not used to train public or shared AI models.

Have a project in mind?

We will help you decide whether the Kickstart, a focused custom build, or no project at all is the right next step.

A short call to understand the workflow, systems, available data, and the result that would make a project worthwhile.

  • $2,500 Kickstart with a tightly scoped proof build
  • A real reply within one business day
  • Clear technical ownership
